Talk and Demonstration, Keeping on top of Small Hive Beetle, Varroa management options for Autumn and Winter and an update on the mite resistance and what it means for treatment options in the near future. There will be hive openings with Andrew and Brett with a Q&A session.
Topics for the day will include:
- Hive Openings – Weather permitting, autumn check for brood condition, varroa checks & honey storage (Last inspection till Spring)
- Report on the latest varroa updates including the spread of mite resistance
- Talks & Demonstrations
The Club Shed will be open, we have new stock of jars, full depth and ideal frames as well as foundation.
Bring your bee protection and wear long sleeves and pants as bees will be out and about, there are club veils available for loan during the day.
