We trust you had a great Christmas and a break from the usual humdrum of everyday life. Our first Open Day is this Sunday and we would love for you to come along and get reacquainted with the club and beekeeping.
Topics for the day will include:
- Possum Box colony relocation to a langstroth hive
- Keeping on top of Small Hive Beetle, numbers have been steadily increasing
- Varroa management options for summer as some treatments are not advsed in these warmer conditions
- There will be hive openings with Andrew and Brett, Questions and answers
The Club Shed will be open, we have new stock of full depth frames and fresh foundation as well as some some second hand jars for free.
Bring your bee protection and wear long sleeves and pants as bees will be out and about, there are club veils available for loan during the day.
