Hive opening and inspection and what to look for over summer months:
- Managing Small Hive Beetle in your hive, traps, air-flow and simple methods to help you control their numbers
- Chalkbrood disease in your hive, it’s more common than most beekeepers realise. What is it? How to diagnose it? and What can you do about it?
- Frame building, wiring and embedding wax foundation demonstration
- The Club Shed will be open for cash sales of jars, frames and wax foundation
Bring your beehive protection and wear long sleeves and pants as bees will be out and about, there are club veils available for loan during the day.
Morning tea provided with tea, coffee, biscuits and cake or slice.
